Dr. Raisa Hernández Pacheco will be talking about her research at this CEMinar. Dr. Hernández Pacheco has dedicated her studies to modeling the effects of environmental factors on structured animal populations. She received her doctoral degree from the University of Puerto Rico after assessing the effects of mass bleaching on coral populations. Right after, she joined the Caribbean Primate Research Center and the Max-Planck Odense Center to study the long-term dynamics of the Cayo Santiago rhesus macaque population. Her research interests include questions on population ecology and evolutionary demography aimed at understanding why individuals within populations vary.

Dr. Raisa Hernández Pacheco is currently an assistant professor at California State University, Long Beach.
