ASU biologist Melissa Wilson Sayres — whose banana-DNA demo will be one of scores of interactive booths — says it's key for people to meet scientists face to face. The School of Life Sciences and departments across the university will come together this weekend to present a wide-variety of interactive exhibits for children and adults alike. Wilson Sayres has been doing public science outreach for children for over a decade and is the recent winner of "I'm a Scientist USA", the American-Idol style competition voted on by students.
