The School of Human Evolution and Social Change, the Institute of Human Origins, and the Center for Evolution and Medicine at Arizona State University welcomes applications for a Postdoctoral Research Scholar working with Dr. Ben Trumble. The area of specialization will be focused on endocrine and immune physiology related to aging, and/or biomarkers related to cardiovascular disease or Alzheimer’s Dementia. The scholar will have opportunities to work on projects relevant to biomedicine and chronic diseases of aging in association with the Tsimane Health and Life History Project.

Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. in anthropology, biology, immunology, endocrinology, demography, biostatistics, or a related field by the time of appointment.  Required qualifications include wet-lab experience with health-related biomarkers.

Desired qualifications include quantitative skills, including multilevel modeling, longitudinal data analysis, database organization and management.

This is a full-time, fiscal-year, term-limited 1-year position, which may be renewable for a up to five years, contingent on funding. The anticipated start date is August 18th, 2022 but may be earlier.
