ASUs Center for Evolution & Medicine (CEM) on the Tempe campus is looking for a conscientious, dependable and self-motivated student to assist the Center Director with fact checking, reference management and editing for a book he is writing on evolutionary explanations for mental disorders. Reference finding and citation management using Zotero software
Applied library skills
Collating reader responses
Assisting the Director with other related projects
Days and schedule: Flexible schedule about 10 hours per week
Requires previous knowledge or skill and/or equivalent experience or training
Background in evolutionary biology and behavior
Experience with Mac and PC crossplatform use, Microsoft Office Applications (i.e.; Word, Excel, Outlook), Dropbox, and Google Docs.
Experience with reference software
Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
Skill in effective communication, both verbal and written
Evidence of being a motivated, self-starter
Use computers for extended periods using mouse and keyboard
Use critical thinking to make decisions and/or analyze data
Use standard office equipment such as computer workstation/laptop (keyboard, monitor, mouse), printer, fax, calculator, copier, telephone
